PURPOSE:To improve and stabilize picture quality for a long period while preventing toner form leaking laterally by providing an electric field curtain with other electric field curtains which convey a developer toward former electric field curtain separately on both its side ends. CONSTITUTION:The 2nd electrode group 11 is provided which forms the electric field curtain for the lateral leak preventive shielding of the developer 5. This electric field curtain for lateral leak prevention is constituted to the same pitch and the same electrode width with the electric field curtain for conveyance and development and at least three electric curtains for prevention are provided by both ends 2a of the electrode group 2 and applied with a voltage from a power source 3 so as to convey the developer in an inward direction beta. Consequently, the toner is prevented from leaking laterally and the picture quality is improved and stabilized for a long period. |
