Lighting control system for incandescent lamps - allows accurate control of colour temp. of light output from combination of lamps

The lamp or lamps are fed with a.c. power via a current chopping device. The straight mains power is also connected to a power supply circuit which supplies the l.v. d.c. supplies to the other circuits and also feeds an a.c. signal to a zero-crossing circuit. The zero-transversing signal is fed to the current control device a phase rotation controller and an a.d. converter. The operator uses a control panel to select the desired colour temp. The digital output of the control panel is converted to analogue form and fed to the phase controller and a memory which controls the current chopper via a galvanomic isolator. Other lamps can be controlled by other outputs of the memory.
