PURPOSE:To permit rolling with excellent dimensional accuracy of an inside width and surface characteristic without impairing shape and accuracy by using rolls formed with notches having the shape equal to the shape of a product on the peripheral surfaces in order to roll a titled steel having an asymmetrical and right-angle section. CONSTITUTION:The notches 10A, 12A, 12B having the shape equal to the shape of the product are formed on the peripheral surfaces of the rolling rolls 10, 12. The titled steel is subjected to the universal rolling by using such rolls 10, 12 and vertical rolls in contact with the stepped peripheral surface parts of said rolls. More specifically, the top ends of a web 2 and flanges 3 and the top end of a projection 4 are subjected to shaping rolling and the side faces of the flanges 3 and the projection 4 are subjected to finish rolling. Since the flanges 3 and the projection 4 are directly rolled down, the flange 3 sides can be filled into the notches 12A, 12B. As a result, the dimensional accuracy of the inside width is improved and dispersion thereof is minimized. |
