PURPOSE:To assure flowability and to satisfy a transfer characteristic simultaneously by consisting the surface of a toner particle of a region where the surface is coated with an external additive and a region where a coating density is extremely low. CONSTITUTION:The external additive having the negative chargeability with respect to carrier iron powder is fixed to the region A3 of the surface of the primarily ground toner 1 contg. a positive chargeable charge controlling agent to form the negative charge region and to form the positive charge region of the primarily ground toner itself in the region B4. On the other hand, the external additive having the positive chargeability is fixed to the region A3 of the surface of the primarily ground toner 1 contg. a negative chargeable charge controlling agent to form the positive charge region and to form the negative charge region in the region B4. The region B in this case is required to be coated by the external additive or has the coating density considerably lower than the coating density in the region A. The function of the carrier of the two-component type developer is thereby provided and the good electric charge is held on the toner surface. Good developability and good image are thus obtd. |
