PURPOSE:To extend the life of insert pins and to prevent generation of a defective product by maintaining said pins at the temp. within a preset temp. range. CONSTITUTION:A forging device for a molten metal has removable insert pins 19, 20 in the cavity 4 of a casting mold 1. Cooling water passages 27, 30 are provided to the inside of the pins 19, 20 and a temp. detector 41 to detect the temp. of the pins 19, 20 is attached thereto. A solenoid valve 32 as a control valve is provided to a cooling water feed pipe 33 connected to the passages 27, 30. A control means 43 receives the detection signal from the detector 41 and controls the valve 32 so that the detected temp. is maintained within the preset temp. range. |
