A safety helmet with an impact-resistant shell is intended to have an element for detachable fastening of additional equipment to the helmet on both of the opposing sides. The fastening element comprises a plurality of vertical bands (2) with a dovetail profile section formed on the outside of the helmet equidistant from one another. The said bands are designed to fit tightly into corresponding recesses at the fastening points of additional equipment in order to provide a dovetail joint between the additional equipment and the helmet. <IMAGE>
