PURPOSE:To equalize the resolving power of a screen projection image extending over the whole surface, and to obtain an image which has fitted to a user's choice, by moving further a lens at the time of auto focusing, by a deviation portion of a focused position by manual and auto focusing actions. CONSTITUTION:A focused position of a projection lens 20 by manual focusing in case a projection image has conformed with a user's choice by viewing the projection image, and a focused position of the lens 20 at the time of auto focusing by a line sensor 46, a signal processing circuit 62, a CPU 68, a driver 78, etc. are written in a RAM 72 through the CPU 68. Also, at the time of the subsequent auto focusing, the lens 20 is moved by auto focusing, and thereafter, further moved by a deviation amount of both the focused positions which have been written in the RAM 72. According to this constitution, the resolving power of a screen projection image can be equalized extending over the whole surface, and an image fitting to a user's choice can be obtained. |
