PURPOSE:To easily prepare a ceramics powder having a composition of every kind in low cost regardless of manufacturing quantity, by a method wherein ceramic materials having different compositions are melted while supplied to a heat source and a high speed fluid is injected in the molten materials. CONSTITUTION:The plasma gas such as Ar or He supplied from a supply port 8 is sent into the non-transferred arc generated between a cathode 3 and an anode 4 to be converted to an ultrahigh temp. ultrahigh speed plasma gaseous fluid which in turn flows in a nozzle orifice 6 and impinges against ceramics wire materials 12a, 12b or a ceramic powder sent on the way of the nozzle orifice to simultaneously melt the same while the molten materials are injected from the nozzle orifice. At this time, by changing the combination, supply speed and wire diameter of the ceramic wire materials, ceramics having an arbitrary composition can be prepared by a melt injection method. The high speed particle speed of the molten ceramics formed by injection is cooled in atmospheric gas to be collected as the ceramics powder.
