<p>A friction facing material comprising a fluorocarbon resin binder containing elemental carbon is disclosed for use in torque-transmitting applications in the presence of a transmission fluid or oil. The friction facing material is characterized by a stable dynamic coefficient of friction. A method of making the friction facing material and incorporating it into torque-transmitting apparatus is also disclosed.</p> |
