<p>A device having a holder (15) for a stack of sheets (16), which stack (16) is pressed against a conveyor roller (30) disposed at a fixed location above the holder for discharging sheets from the top of the stack. The holder (15) is pivotably secured to a movably mounted support (10, 11, 22, 23), the pivot axis being parallel to the roller axis and being situated between the roller (30) and the centre of gravity of the holder (15) and straight beneath the centre of gravity of the stack (16). Springs (22, 23) connected to the support (10, 11, 22, 23) exert an upwardly directed force on the holder (15), as a result of which the stack (16), irrespective of its size, is pressed against the conveyor roller (30) with a substantially constant force and the sheets are discharged in substantially the same direction.</p> |
