PURPOSE:To securely identify a data area, and to improve a read precision by adding to the plural strings of the data area identification codes for identifying respective areas and for identifying the end of the data area. CONSTITUTION:Mark area (header) 19 for identifying the data area 16 are added to the plural data areas 161-16n of a card base. Namely, said area 19 records sector numbers in the increasing order from the first data area 161. In such a case, recording is executed with the code which does not appear in the data area 16 so that the mark area 19 can be easily identified. An identified area 20, which recognizes the end of data in a band 14, is added to the data area 16n and numbers different from information in the mark area 19 are recorded. Data is recorded in the identified area 20 by the codes which do not appear in the data area 16 and the mark area 19. |
