PURPOSE:To move recording paper effectively by forming an antistatic layer on the surface of an electrostatic attracting device. CONSTITUTION:Unrecorded recording paper 2 is drawn out by a paper driving mechanism 21 by one unit recording length and fed out to the surface of an electrostatic attracting plate 1 as a recording surface. At this time, the recording paper 2 has friction against the dielectric layer 12 on the surface of the electrostatic attracting plate 1 to generate static electricity, which is absorbed by the antistatic layer (e.g. conductive pattern 14 formed in a mesh shape) formed on the dielectric layer 12, so that the stagnancy of the recording paper due to the static electricity is precluded. Then, wrinkles of the recording paper 2 are removed by specific tension applied between the paper driving mechanism 21 and a recording paper supply part and recording by a recording pen 3 is carried out.
