PURPOSE:To retard absorbing rate of chlorine into a solvent, and to perform steady charge-discharge by covering the surface of a solvent with a solution having lower chlorine solubility than that in solvent. CONSTITUTION:The surface of a solvent is covered with a solution having lower chlorine solubility than that in the solvent. As this solution, an aqueous solution having a freezing point of 0 deg.C or less is used. A single or mixture solution selected from zinc chloride, potassium chloride, and sodium chloride is used. In a solvent tank filled with a solvent for absorbing chlorine, by preventing quick dissolution of chlorine into the solvent, excess decompression in a space of the solvent tank can be prevented. |
