摘要 PURPOSE:To improve the operating property of an engine at the time of open control, by selecting an air-fuel ratio correction coefficient depending on whether the feedback control of the air-fuel ratio has been in a stationary state, when the operation of the engine has entered into a state not appropriate to the feedback control. CONSTITUTION:In the operation of an internal combustion engine A, the fed quantity of fuel is determined by a determination means B depending on the state of the operation and corrected by a correction means C to servo to control the fuel for the engine. An air-fuel ratio correction coefficient alpha is calculated by a calculation means F in terms of the difference between an aimed air-fuel ratio determined by a determination means E depending on the state of the operation of the engine A and the actual air-fuel ratio detected by an air-fuel ratio detection means D. The actual air-fuel ratio is corrected by the correction means C through the use of the correction coefficient alphato perform the feedback control of the actual air-fuel ratio. If the stationary state of the feedback control is detected by a feedback control stationary state detection means G when the operation of the engine A has entered into a state not appropriate to the feedback control, the correction coefficient alpha is fixed at the previous value thereof by a correction coefficient selective fixation means H. If not, the correction coefficient alpha is fixed at 100% by the fixation means H.
