<p>PURPOSE:To obtain the information where and which program in a cassette is stored by reproducing a cue signal in loading the cassette to the set, storing the content and recording the memory content on a track in ejecting the cassette. CONSTITUTION:In loading the cassette 1 to the set, a pinch roller 13 is pressed onto a capstan 12 as soon as the loading is finished and a tape 2 is driven forward for a prescribed period. A cue signal recording/reproducing head 22 reproduces a cue signal from the cue track provided lengthwise at the upper end of the tape 2 and an address signal from the address track respectively during the period and the content is stored in a memory in the set. In ejecting the cassette, the pinch roller 13 is pressed onto the capstan 12 before unloading, the tape 2 is driven at a constant speed and the memory content is recorded on the cue track by the cue signal recording/reproducing head 22 during the time. Thus, the program recorded in the cassette is retrieved completely and the cassette is utilized effectively.</p> |
