<p>A filler sterilization system including an inlet valve (14), a main valve (18), an outlet valve (20), a linkage system (26) therebetween, and a cam (22) and follower (24) arrangement for actuating the linkage system (26) to move the three valves into three operating positions. The three positions are the normally closed and open positions for dispensing a liquid product into a carton (C), and a third position for steam sterilization of the filler system. The outlet valve (20) in the latter position is such that a predetermined back pressure is maintained during the sterilization operation.</p> |
