PURPOSE:To simplify a transmitting mechanism by discriminating the transmission speed of a code sequence containing an identification code from a transmission side and recognizing the kind of control information on a reception side when the code sequence is sent, and also making the recognition result effective only when the coincidence of the identification code is detected. CONSTITUTION:The transmission side give data on system codes redundancy for error detection or the like previously at need and a data transmission pattern including it is written in a ROM 3 as it is. When it is written, each bit correspond to one address. A receiver synchronizes the timing of the data read based on a signal demodulated by a reception part 5 and measures the signal speed or data width of one bit and a decision circuit 12 discriminates the kind of control information and outputs the result. This decision level is given a margin to absorb element deviation and the frequency deviation of the clock oscillator 1 of a transmitter which has variations in temperature and source voltage, thereby eliminating the need to adjust the transmitter. Consequently, the constitution of the transmitter is simplified.
