PURPOSE:To make an electrode plate fit for long-time use by undercoating the electrode plate with epoxy resin paint and coating it with other epoxy resin paint contg. a specified amount of a vinylidene chloride resin emulsion so as to prevent the resulting paint film from being readily stripped. CONSTITUTION:An electrode plate used in a refining plant is undercoated with epoxy resin paint or tar-epoxy resin. A single coating is enough for the undercoating. The undercoated electrode plate is coated about 5 times with other epoxy resin paint contg. 1-10% vinylidene chloride resin emulsion.
