PURPOSE:To obtain a thermal transfer recording sheet having a high developed color density and completely free of releasing and transfer of a transfer layer onto a receiving layer of the sheet, by providing a composition comprising a water-soluble or water-dispersible polyester resin and a water-soluble or water- dispersible UV-curable type resin and/or monomer. CONSTITUTION:A composition comprising a water-soluble or water-dispersible polyester resin and a water-soluble or water-dispersible UV-curable type resin and/or monomer is provided. By this, it is possible to obtain a high image density and to prevent a transfer layer from being released and transferred onto a receiving layer of a thermal transfer recording sheet. The polyester resin may be a polyester resin having a sulfonic group or other similar polyester resin. The UV-curable type resin (inclusive of oligomers) may be the one which has favorable compatibility with the polyester resin.
