PURPOSE:To identify the fitting of automatic opening/closing type door sufficiently, by performing a distance measuring processing and a decision processing of light receiving level on the light receiving side to judge the result of the processings logically. CONSTITUTION:Light from a projector 51 passes through a first optical path containing the position of installing a rail set on the bottom of an automatic opening/closing type door and a second optical path. In other wards, light from a projection element 1 is emitted being converged to a size less than that of an object to be detected and received with a light receiving element 7a on a semiconductor layer 6a as signal light 4a through a condenser lens 2, a reflector 3a and a condenser lens 5 while received with a light receiving element 7b on a semiconductor layer 6b as signal light 4b through the condenser lens 2, the object 3b and the condenser lens 5. The received light signals of both the light receiving elements are converted into electrical signals and the electrical signals from a light receiver 52 undergoe an arithmetic processing with a signal processing circuit. This operation generates a first logical signal for indicating whether an object exists on the first optical path or not and a second logical signal indicating the incidence level of light with respect to the light receiver 52. |
