PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid ejector which prevents a blank space from being created on a medium and also to achieve a computer system thereof. SOLUTION: This liquid ejector comprises a movable ejection head for ejecting liquid, a detection means for detecting the position of the edge of a medium and a feeding mechanism for feeding the medium. The liquid ejector repeats an operation for detecting the position of the edge by the detection means, an operation for feeding the medium by the feeding mechanism, and an operation for ejecting the liquid from the moving ejection head, and changes at least either one of the start and end position to eject the liquid from the moving ejection head, depending on the position of the edge detected by the detecting operation. When the distance between the position of the edge detected in one detecting operation and the position of the edge detected in the detecting operation prior to that one detecting operation, exceeds a pre-determined value, at least either one of the start and end position is determined based on the position of the edge detected prior to that one detecting operation.
