PURPOSE:To cool down a brake drum by installing cooling spray nozzles along the outer surface of said drum, sensing overheat of said drum by an automatic temperature sensor installed in said drum and spraying cold water over the outer surface of hard drum by a water pump. CONSTITUTION:Spray nozzles 3 are installed at the outside of brake drums 2 and connected with a cooling water tank 5 attached to a chassis frame 4 by pipes 5, cooling water being sprayed by a water pump 7 attached to said cooling water tank 5. Inside of each of said brake drums, each of automatic temperature sensors 2 is installed, which runs a motor of said water pump 7 to spray cooling water from spray nozzles 3 of each of said drums 2 in the case when the temperature rises excessively from normal temperature. Due to the above constitution, overheating of brake drums as well as damage of tires or vapor-locking phenomenon can be prevented from occurring.
