PURPOSE:To execute the data transmission with a high reliability which does not have the contacting defect due to a dirt, vibration, etc., and the wear and fatigue of a contact part by writing and reading data by a data memory means in the device or from the data memory means with non-contacting with a magnetic field as media between the processing devices with a magnetic head. CONSTITUTION:At a device main body 1, a memory 3 and a magnetic means 4 connected through a controller 2 are provided, the data read from the writable memory 3 are given to the magnetic means 4 and a data signal from the magnetic means 4 is given to the memory 3. At such a time, the magnetic means 4 generates the magnetic field in accordance with the reading data from the memory 3 and forms the signal in accordance with the magnetic field from the magnetic head. By facing the magnetic head by the contacting or non- contacting with the magnetic means of a data memory device, the data can be given and received from one side to other side or from other side to one side with the magnetic field to occur in parallel to the surface of the magnetic means between the magnetic means of a card and the magnetic head of a processing device and change in a time series as a medium.
