PURPOSE:To prevent illegal registration of third persons by changing the service function class of an operated telephone set with only a specific dialing operation to register system abbreviated dialing. CONSTITUTION:When the system abbreviated dialing register operation is performed on a telephone set 1, a central controller 5 takes out the service function class of the telephone set 1 from a service function class memory 6. This service function class is compared with contents of a system abbreviated dialing registerable number memory 7. If this comparison results in coincidence, dialing from the telephone set 1 is registered as dial abbreviated dialing. Though this registering is controlled because the comparison does not result in coincidence normally, this control is released by preliminarily determined specific dialing on the telephone 1.
