PURPOSE:To make falsification of a medium impossible by ciphering the cipher ing data recorded at the information identifying code belt and the magnetic recording belt of certifying identifying media by plural algorisms. CONSTITUTION:Basic data determined beforehand at the information identifying code belt provided at certifying identifying media are ciphered and recorded by (n) types of algorism, the ciphering data of the information identifying code belt are detected and ciphered, the ciphered basic data are further ciphered, magnetically recorded at the magnetic recording belt, both ciphering data are read, ciphered and collated. For example, at the time of manufacturing a medi um 10 for bar codes 15 and 16, ciphering data alpha1 are printed to the bar code 15 and ciphering data alpha2 is printed to the bar code 16 on a substrate with the ink including a magnetic material having the special coercive force by a bar code printing device, and on a bar code belt 13 where the bar codes 15 and 16 are printed, a mask belt 14 composed of an opaque non-magnetic material is covered. |
