PURPOSE:To obtain the pipe in the title displaying satisfactory adhesion between a foamed material and a metal pipe even when the extent of foaming is high, by coating extruded silane-grafted polymer on a metal pipe and fusing an extruded and coated foamed material onto said polymer-coated layer. CONSTITUTION:For instance, silane-grafted copolymer of ethylene and vinyl acetate is extruded and applied onto a metal pipe 1 consisting of a copper pipe having an external diameter of 10mm. as a 0.05mm. thick coat. Thus a silane-grafted polymer-coated layer 2 is formed. Next, a foamed material 3 made up of foamed low-density polyethylene containing azodicarbonamide is extruded and applied as a coat so that the foregoing silane-grafted polymer-coated layer 2 and foamed material 3 are fused together, thus obtaining the pipe intended for manufacture. |
