PURPOSE:To improve the absorption spectra of a cyan color forming dye and to enhance color reproductivity by forming on a support a silver halide emulsion layer containing at least one of phenol type cyan dye image forming couplers and incorporating at least one of specified compounds. CONSTITUTION:The silver halide emulsion layer formed on the support contains at least one of the phenol type cyan dye image forming couplers represented by formula I in which R1 is an aryl or heterocyclic group; R2 is, especially preferably, an alkyl group substituted by a substituted aryloxy group; and R3 is, preferably, H, and formula II in which R4 is same as R2; R5 is 1-4 C alkyl; R6 is, preferably, Cl or F; and each of Z1 and Z2 is, preferably, H, halogen, sulfonamide, or the like. The photosensitive material contains at least one of the compounds represented by formula III. |
