PURPOSE:To equivalently operate a low speed ROM at high speed and to drive a magnetic bubble memory device in parallel by providing an information holding means between a ROM for storing defective loop information and the control means of the magnetic bubble memory device. CONSTITUTION:When data stored in the plural magnetic bubble memory devices 31 having a minor loop, a major loop or a major line is transferred and transmitted and received between an external device and the device 31, the control means 30 makes access to the ROM 32 for storing the defective loop information of the device 31, uses the read defective loop information, and controls the reading and the writing of the device 31 by skipping so as not to use the defective minor loop information. The access time of the ROM 32 is absorbed by a flip flop 35 disposed between the means 30 and the ROM 32 and temporarily holding the defective loop information read from the ROM 32, a delay is the delay time only of the flip flop. As the result of this, the access time of the low speed ROM is equivalently made high in speed and the device 31 can be driven in parallel.
