The device described serves to adjust and fix the clamping length of a wishbone boom for surfing sails when two wishbone tubes telescopic one inside the other are used. For this purpose, the inner wishbone tube is provided at its two free ends with a plurality of annular grooves, arranged at a distance apart, for accommodating in each case an O-ring at the two free ends. These O-rings interact with the free ends of the outer wishbone tube as abutments and seals.
