PURPOSE:To prevent a black frame or the like from being recorded by scanning an area corresponding to the image on an information recording medium with plural optical sensors arranged at equal intervals and controlling an image recording area in accordance with the detection signal of the image area and the designating signal of the image recording area. CONSTITUTION:The desired frame of a microfilm F is projected on a screen 9 by a retrieval command. In case of printing of this projected image, light quantity sensors S1-S7 are scanned on the screen 9 for a print frame 33 before a mirror system is moved, and the image information of brightness/darkness of the image is inputted from s sensors S1-S7 and is stored in a memory circuit 31. After all of the surface of the screen is scanned, stored information is sent to an arithmetic circuit 42. In the circuit 43, the information of the image area is operated based on the stored information and the designation of a mode changeover switch 43 which designated the area where the image should be recorded. The operation result is sent to and image frame position determining circuit 44 to determine the area where the image should be formed on a photosensitive drum 12. Thus, the black frame or the like is prevented from being recorded on a transfer paper. |
