<p>Dihydrothiophene derivs. of formula (I) and their salts are new. (n = 0-2; R = lower alkyl, 3-7C cycloalkyl, (3-7C cycloalkyl)-1-3C alkylene, lower alkenyl, 1-4C haloalkyl with 1-3 halo atoms selected from F,Cl, Br or I; 2-4C haloalkenyl with 1-3 halo atoms selected from F,Cl, Br or I. lower alkoxy, lower alkylthio, (1-3C alkoxy)-1-3Calkyl, 1-3C alkylthio-1-2Calkyl, phenyl, naphth-1-yl, inden-1-yl, 4-fluorophenyl, aryl-1-3C alkylene in which aryl is phenyl, naphth-1-yl or inden-1-yl; or R=(II), (III) or (IV) 1-3 of R4-R9 = lower alkyl, lower alkoxy, halo, NO2 or 1-3C haloalkyl contg. 1-3 halo atoms and the remainder of R4-R9 = H; R3 = single bond or 1-3C alkylene R1=H or 1-4C alkyl; R2 = H, 1-4C alkyl, 3-4C alkenyl, (1-4C alkoxy) carbonyl-1-4Calkyl, (1-3Calkoxy)-1-3Calkyl, or (1-3Calkyl) thio-1-3Calkyl; or R1 and R2 together with the N form an opt. unsatd. N heterocycle with 3-6 atoms one of which is N and the remainder C; X = H, lower alkyl, lower alkoxy, halo or CF3 and can be at any available position on the phenyl ring; Y = lower alkyl, lower alkoxy, halo, 1-4C haloalkyl contg. 1-3 halo atoms or 1-4C haloalkylthio having 1-3 halo atoms provided that when Y = halo, then R,R1 and R2 are not all H and that Y is other than CF3 and X is other than H, and R1 and R2 are each H then R = Me, Et, Pr, 2-halophenyl, 2-lower alkylphenyl or 4-fluorophenyl).</p> |
