The invention relates to an arrangement for dewatering or dehumidifying running fabric webs, especially textile webs or the like sensitive to pulling, by means of a suction treatment preceding a subsequent drying treatment, and is intended to prevent the multiple take-up of the fabric web before its introduction into the dehumidifying or dewatering devices and the dryer and to simplify and reduce the associated outlay in terms of apparatus. For this purpose, it is proposed, according to the invention, to arrange a non-rotatable suction device, extending transversely over the fabric web and provided with a suction slit facing the latter, directly in the region of the entry of the fabric web into a tenter dryer. <IMAGE>
