The apparatus for the implementation of the method comprises at least one reel B1 supplying a sheet-metal band (strip) 1 subjected to a surface treatment and a reheating at a temperature T1 and a system for unreeling a mesh 3 which is immersed in a bath B of solder material at a temperature T2. The mesh 3/metal sheet 1 assembly is clamped and soldered between two cylinders C1 and C2 and then cooled on leaving these cylinders.
