PURPOSE:To enable an indicator to be commonly used by providing a one-side automatic switchover means which switches over a self-diagnosis device to a self-diagnosis mode while switching said indicator to a self-diagnosis indicating mode, and an other-side automatic switchover means which switches over said self-diagnosis device to a control mode while switching said indicator to a normal indication mode. CONSTITUTION:When a switch 17 is turned on, the mode switchover circuit of a control circuit 23 on the indicator 13 side switches over a normal indication mode to a self-diagnosis mode, while the CPU 31 of a self-diagnosis device 15 switches over a control mode to a self-diagnosis mode. When the switch 17 is turned off after a self-diagnosis operation is over, the CPU 31 is shifted to the control mode and the control circuit 23 is switched over to the normal indicating mode. Thereby, the indicator 13 part can be commonly used with anther device and, further, a self-diagnosis operation can be simply carried out, merely by operating the switch 17.
