PURPOSE:To make marked improvements in temp. characteristics as well as in magnetic properties, by adding metallic fluorides to a rare earth-iron permanent magnet material. CONSTITUTION:The fluirine-containing alloy-type permanent magnet material has a composition represented by formulas I, II. In formulas I, II, R means a combination of 1 or >=2 kinds among rare earth elements including Y, A means a combination of 1 or >=2 elements among B, C, N, Si, and P, and X means a combination of 1 or >=2 elements among Ba, Sr, Ca, and Pb. Moreover, in formula I, 0.01<=alpha<=0.3, 4<=gamma<=16, and 0<a<=0.05 and, in formula II, 0.01<=alpha<=0.3, 0.01<=beta<=0.5, 4<=gamma<=16, and 0<a<=0.05. |
