PURPOSE:To make it possible to detect the direction of rotation of a rotary body by simple circuit constitution, by changing over the direction of a rotation of the rotary body before detecting the change in the pulse interval of a rotary encoder. CONSTITUTION:The output (a) of a rotary encoder rotating in synchronous relation to a motor is inputted to the CI terminal of a microcomputer 1 and the pulse interval of the encoder is measured by the counter in the microcomputer 1 and the direction of rotation of a rotary body is detected from the change of a count value. Therefore, a logical circuit element like flip-flop becomes unnecessary and the direction of rotation can be detected by simple circuit constitution. |
