PURPOSE:To reduce sliding frequency of a free piston and to miniaturize a bellows by partitioning oil and gas by means of the free piston and the bellows fitted onto the free piston. CONSTITUTION:A damping force producing section 30 comprising a plate valve and the like is provided on the bottom part of an inner cylinder 12 in order to, therethrough, communicate an oil chamber 35 with the oil chamber 21 of an outer cylinder. The gas chamber 36 of the inner cylinder and the oil chamber 35 are partitioned by a free piston 32 and a bellows 33. A hole 43 is provided on the central part of the free piston 32 in order to go through in the vertical direction, and a rod-shaped stopper member 45 is inserted in free axial motion with its one end 45a fixed onto the end part of the bellows 33. Also, the stopper member 45 is provided with locking parts 47, 48 for restricting vertical stroke. By the above structure, in relative reciprocal motion between the outer and the inner cylinders, spring action of gas is caused by volume change of a gas chamber as well as damping force is produced by the oil flow in the damping force producing section 30 and any amount of volume change of said gas chamber is absorbed by expansion and contraction of only a bellows so that moving frequency of the free piston is largely reduced. |
