PURPOSE:To keep the lift amount of a pressure plate at a fixed value by automatically compensating shifting in the case where a facing of a clutch disc is worn out so that a pressure plate is shifted from an expected position. CONSTITUTION:A lifter body 40 is disposed on a lifter body support shaft 38 through a sleeve 39 in such a manner as to freely slide in the axial direction. A ring-shaped lock plate 43 is fitted to the outer surface of the lifter body 40, and a cam mechanism 44 is provided on the right of the lock plate. The lifter body 40, the lock plate 43 and the cam mechanism 44 form a lift mechanism for lifting a pressure plate 28 and also form an adjuster mechanism for automatically adjusting to keep the lift amount of the pressure plate 28 at a fixed value at all times. Accordingly, the lift amount of the pressure plate 28 can be stabilized.
