PURPOSE:To adjust the speed of a pulse motor rapidly in conformity with an optimum adjustable-speed pattern without resulting in out-of-step and a hunting by setting the optimum adjustable-speed pattern in conformity with the characteristics of a mechanical system as an object to be driven. CONSTITUTION:When a starting command is outputted from a host device such as an NC machine tool, etc., a stage control circuit 2 presets the number of steps up to the time of starting for deceleration to a deceleration-time detecting counter 5 on the basis of an adjustable-speed pattern memory circuit 1 while selecting an acceleration table for the adjustable-speed pattern memory circuit 1, a pulse motor is accelerated, and the number of steps is increased up to the maximum steps. The deceleration pattern of the memory circuit 1 is selected, the pulse motor is decelerated and revolution is stopped at the time of deceleration. |
