The process consists of (a) mixing thermoplastic particles with a finely-divided soluble material; (b) moulding the mixt. and subjecting to low heat to fuse the polymer and obtain a filter element of the desired shape; (c) cooling and immediately washing to remove the soluble substance and leave the required pores in the filter element.
