PURPOSE:To prevent the back flow of a dust-lader reducing gas into a reduction furnance by mixing the dust contg. reduced iron fed by a scraper type feeding device fro the reduction furnace with the separately fed coke and charging the mixture via a blow-through preventive valves into a gasifying furnace. CONSTITUTION:The reducing gas generated in the gasifying furnace 1 is introduced into the reduction furnace 6 where the reduced iron is formed from iron ore. The reduced iron is fed together with the dust by the scraper type feeding device 14 and is thrown through plural feeding ports 12A, 12B, throwing pipes 13A, 13B and charging ports 2A, 2B into the gasifying furnace 1. On the other hand, the coke fed by the feeding device 16 is charged through distributing pipes 17A, 17B into the throwing pipes 13A, 13B and is mixed with the reduced iron. The blow-through preventive valves 19 are provided to the lower side where the pipes 17A, 17B join with the pipes 13A, 13B so that the intrusion of the dust into the reduction furnace 6 is prevented by opening the valves 19 only in the throwing stage of the raw materials. The reduced iron and the dust are thereby stably fed and are evenly charged into the gasifying furnace 1; in addition, the mixing ratio of the reduced iron and the coke is easily controlled.
