PURPOSE:To make getting in and off easier by making an upper base, a lower base and a turning shaft for connecting both of the bases together tilted in the direction of the width of a vehicle and by constituting such that when turning a seat, its front end becomes low and parallel to a ground line. CONSTITUTION:An upper base 4 is fixed on a lower surface of a frame 3 of a set 1, a lower base 5 opposing the upper base 4 is fixed on right and left slide rails 7, and both of the bases 4 and 5 are connected with a turning shaft 8 with a tilt angle of alpha deg. in the directions of the width of a vehicle. However, a top surface of the seat 1 where a passenger is to be seated is formed so that the surface is not tilted in the lateral direction when the seat is directed to the front. While the right and left slide rails 7 are made to be at different heights, longitudinal position adjustment is made with the lower base 5 remaining as tilted in the lateral direction in a parallel motion. Accordingly, position adjustment can be made without tilting the top surface of the seat 1 in the lateral direction. Also, when the seat 1 is turned in the direction of the vehicle width, getting in and off are made easier as the front end of the seat becomes lower.
