<p>PURPOSE:To enable a marine engine to make a smooth rise in its speed at its starting time, by controlling revolutional speed to a desired value derived from the operation of a governor lever at the stopping time of the engine to perform the preliminary operation for starting. CONSTITUTION:A signal detected by a sensor 57 is sent to a control part 24 to detect a current r.p.m of an engine E. Whether or not the engine speed reaches the set value is discriminated on the basis of the detected engine speed. Since any quick action of a regulator handle 3 is followed by a delay of the operation of the engine E, the r.p.m thereof is detected in connection with the detected position of the governor lever 54 and controlled. Therefore, the preliminary operation for starting the engine can be thus executed at the stopping time thereof, whereby enabling a smooth rise in engine speed.</p> |
