PURPOSE:To improve engine response to acceleration by weighting the discrimination of acceleration depending upon throttle valve opening, and intensifying detecting sensitivity for acceleration all the more from the small opening of the throttle valve. CONSTITUTION:The subject device has an acceleration detecting means 12 for detecting engine acceleration depending upon the change of throttle valve opening. Also, fuel is injected from a fuel injection valve 5 synchronized with engine revolutions, and a control means 11 is provided in the subject device so that fuel for engine acceleration will be injected in a non-synchronized condition from the fuel injection valve 5, when engine acceleration has been detected by an acceleration detecting means 12. In this case, a throttle opening detecting means 7 is provided and according to an output therefrom, an acceleration standard value change means 13 is made to intensify the detecting sensitivity of acceleration on an acceleration detecting means 12 for acceleration all the more from the smaller opening of the throttle valve. And when the opening of the throttle valve is small, it is made possible to judge even a small change in the opening as acceleration, thereby improving response to acceleration.
