PURPOSE:To absorb a difference in thermal expansion between a blade supporting frame and a damper lower portion supporting frame by chains, by arranging the chains and holders on both sides of a damper body, and vertically moving a damper blade by the rotation of the chains. CONSTITUTION:There are arranged chains 7 adapted to be rotated by a driving device on both sides of a body of the device. Holders 6 are connected to the chains 7 on the way thereof, and a damper blade 3 is connected through guide rods 5 to the holders 6. The damper blade 3 is raised and lowered through the holders 6 and the guide rods 5 by the rotation of the chains 7. With this arrangement, a difference in thermal expansion between a blade supporting frame 2 and a damper lower portion supporting frame 1 may be absorbed by the chains 7.
