PURPOSE:To prevent the malfunction of a control part due to the inadvertent removal of a pack by securing such constitution where the removal of the pack is impossible while the function in the pack is used. CONSTITUTION:A lock pawl 24 which moves toward an arrow head X with ON/OFF of a solenoid 23 is provided at the main body side of a recording device 1. In an application mode of the function in a pack 7, the solenoid 23 is turned on to hook the pawl 24 to a hook part 22 of the pack 7 as shown in the figure. Thus the removal of the pack 7 is impossible. While the solenoid 23 is turned off tow remove the pawl 24 from the part 22 when the function in the pack 7 is not used. Then the pack 7 can be removed.
