In the case of pistons, the bolt bearing in the hubs is critical, in particular at the end of the piston bolts, in the region where they are secured against longitudinal displacement. The reason for this is that the entry of oil into the bearing gap is concealed by these securing means and thus insufficient lubrication and wear occurs. According to the invention, oil spaces are provided in the critical region inside the securing means and are supplied with oil from the crank space via channels from the inside of the piston, for example from cooling spaces, the oil ring grooves or oil pockets. More uniform distribution of the lubrication film pressure over the entire bore region in the piston avoids wear and hub fractures under critical load.
