The partition is made up of uprights (3) and of panels (10, 11) which are standard and interchangeable and are made from steel profiles bent into a C-shape with two returns. The fixing devices are such that the bolts can only be reached from the inside of the space delimited by the partition. After dismantling of the partition, the uprights (3) can be assembled with the panels (10) in the form of berths and with the panels (11) in the form of shelvings. <IMAGE>
