PURPOSE:To improve the durability of the bead part of a heavy load tire by setting a center line distance between the center lines of a carcass and a carcass folding point so as to satisfy a specific relation regarding the sizes of specific parts including the height of a carcass folding end. CONSTITUTION:A line l1 passing the center of a bead 2 and drawn in parallel with the rotary axis of a tire is made to intersect a carcass 1. This intersection is taken as P1 and a line l2 drawn from P1 to the line l1 perpnedicularly, is made to intersect the carcass 1. This intersection is taken as P2. The height h1 of a carcass folding point 3 from the line l1 is made larger than 0.4 time height H from the line l1 of the point P2. Also, a constant C is taken at 63.0-84.0 and a center line distance G between the center of the carcass 1 itself and the folding point thereof in the radial direction range of 0.26H-0.40H on the basis of the line l1 is so set as to satisfy an expression I regarding the height M of a maximum width part B and a distance W from the line l2. Also, the height h2 of a chafer 4 is made less than 0.42H. According to the aforesaid constitution, the durability of the bead part can be improved. |
