PURPOSE:To easily color and enhance decorativeness by coating the coating medium for coloring and printing before wire drawing and shape memory- treating the Ni-Ti alloy wire. CONSTITUTION:An Ni-Ti alloy wire consists of Ni of 50-60wt% and Ti of 40-50wt%, or part of Ni and Ti in said alloy wire replaced by one element or more than two elements such as Cu, Al, Zr, V, Co, Fe, etc., totalling 0.05-10wt%. The coating medium comprising fluorine resin and the like as main raw material, into which the coloring agent for desirable color is mixed, is continuously coated over the surface of said alloy wire and printed. Next, wire drawing is carried out by using a continuous wire drawing machine, lubricant and dies, and a colored shape memory alloy wire thus prepared is made into a coil-shaped spring, heated up around 30min at the temperature of 400 deg.C and shape memory-treated. |
